http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D99UAOuOUzs <---- I got bored at work and cut a bunch of horror movie clips to my friend's old hardcore band Aynn's song "Long Way Home" ... leave a comment with your thoughts... the intro is long; the song starts at 1:20
I respect any music video that includes scenes from both PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE and HAROLD AND MAUDE. Bravo.
montage is cool but i think music sucks.
The thing I like about watching montages is identifying all the films that were used, so they are usually fun if the films interest me. One thing that the montage reminded me of was how bad the CGI sharks were in "Deep Blue Sea." It looked like Samuel L. Jackson was attacked by the shark from that old arcade game "Sea Devil." (I think that was the name, you had to peer through the periscope and shoot it with the speargun.)
yeah the music's not the best... I loved them as a live band but recording was pretty bad... they've been broken up for like 7 years now lol. I basically just saw I had 4:10 of movie clips then looked through my itunes for whatever the best song would be in the 4:05-4:15 range and used it... then i edited around it to get some things synced up (like the beetlejuice scream with the scream in the song; and the Toxic avenger cuts with the guitar riff)
I like the opening to the music video. Any idea that Criswell might--truly--be able to predict the future, went out the window, when I read he had failed to predict his arrest for receiving stolen typewriters.
Love the Criswell opening, but the music started to gnaw I'm me half way through. Fun clips.

And yet there are thousands of bands now that sound exactly like them. There's nothing 'hardcore' about a mall-punk band that doesn't quite have the skill or testicles to be a metal band, btw.
Not too bad a sync, cute mix of horror and comedy.
It's funny though when they were around it was during pop punk times they weren't actually a hardcore band... that was their only hardcore song... they did like indie rock with screaming but everyone hated them... later on hardcore really picked up and everyone in my town started talking about how they should do a reunion and they refused they're all in ever trash metal bands or indie pop bands now.
