Late night. Unusual channel. Sci fi movie about a bunch of folk on a spaceship (where else) being murdered one by one. The ship is populated by (among others) a midget, a robot and a blind guy. In one memorable scene, someone has to have their leg amputated without anaesthetic. *SPOILER WARNING* the murderer turns out to have been the blind guy, whose lack of actual blindness is established by his crew watching a re-run of the amputation footage and seeing him dodge a flying projectile amid earsplitting screams. He turns out to be not who he claimed (unsurprisingly) but most of the crew is dead by the time they work it out.
Please help me - googling 'sci fi midget robot amputation scene' isn't helping (but brings up some very interesting links). I'd love to see this movie again.
This sparks some memories for me, but I cannot come up with the film title. The first movie that jumped to mind is "Nightflyers," but that could be in error. I cannot definitely remember the scenes you describe in that movie. If I get a chance this evening, I will skim through the VHS.
The movie is Lifepod, starring Robert Loggia and Ron Silver.

That's it! I remember the female pilot being caught in the cockpit with the radiation shields open when they hit a radiation storm.
Lifepod is pretty unforgettable. The thing is so desperately over-the-top in its attempts to be depressing it's comedy gold!
Thanks guys! I'd have to see it to know for sure, I mean, there are a lot of 'people die one by one in space' movies out there, but that sounds like it. Wow, that's been annoying me for years. Now, to find a watchable copy.
On a (vaguely) amusing side-note, I just read a review on Rotten Tomatos which concluded by saying "LIFEPOD is not likely to stick in viewers' memory." Guess he underestimated lovers of schlocky film.
Thanks again.
