This movie almost makes itself. (http://archives.cnn.com/2000/NATURE/07/21/carnivorous.robot.reut/index.html)

QuoteChew Chew eats sugar cubes but early applications for gastrobots may include lawnmowers which eat grass clippings, New Scientist said.

You see, I leave the grass clippings -- they make excellent mulch for the lawn.

It all leads me to wonder whether these robots leave droppings of any sort.

OMG This must be stopped before it gets out of hand (or made into a movie with Ben Stiller as a salesman for slug eating robots who go beserk). It even has the title right 'ChewChew'

And then there could be a sequel, in which these robots are the good guys (as in Terminator 2) and a small boy is defended by his faithful lawn robot against a pack of evil squirrels.

Remember, you read it here first!
