I saw this movie in the mid 90's on VHS but it probably hails from the 70's or 80's. My reccolection is vague but it involved a bunch of animals going nuts or something like that. I remember pigs and some people (mostly kids I think) trapped in a school or some other building. There was also a scene in a zoo where a tiger is hit with a traquilizer dart and falls over like its having a seizure. That sticks in my mind because my mom was watching with me and said that was cruel what they did to it. She thought it was real because she didn't think they could have trained it to do that. Anway, thats all that I can think of, I know it wasn't Day of the Animals like I'd thought orginally, that all takes place outside and I seem to remember a lot of this being inside. Its been driving me crazy trying to figure out what this movie was. Thanks for any help in indentifying whatever this movie is called.
The movie you're looking for might be "Wild Beasts." IMDB Page: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0090322/
Animals in a zoo drink water that is contaminated with PCP, break out of said zoo, and go on a deadly rampage.
Just a guess.
This very this well might be it, thank you. I will look for more information on this movie but the title does seem to ring a bell.
Edit - After further research, I'm sure this is definately the right one. Thanks a million Jordan, never figured anyone would know this movie. Consider this solved. If I could give ya some karma I would.
Bear in mind there are a couple of scenes of real animal violence. Some live rats are set on fire and a lioness is turned loose on a cow in one scene.
