Title: Tromeo & Juliet
Post by: ghouck on September 13, 2007, 08:12:52 PM
I've just sat down to watch this mvie, and got less than 90 seconds into it before I realized something: The narrator in the beginning is Lemmy Kilmister of the band Motorhead. I am surprised this fact didn't make it into the review. .

Sorry for the short, spastic, and pointless thread, it's that A.D.D. thimg. . .back to the movie. . .

f**kin' A, that's Lemmy.

I think Ron Jeremy is in it, too.  I think this was the last Troma movie I really liked.  Their original output has been pretty awful since then.

I didn't see the Ronster in it, but I have been dozing off from time to time (not because the movie is boring, I'm kinda sick, some flu crap or something). . .

That movie definitely fell into the "so awful it was cool" category for me.  It had no redeeming characteristics whatsoever, yet I liked it anyway!  Troma is like that, I guess.  Has anyone seen Poultrygeist?

But, but, but:

Lemmy - Yes, of "Motörhead" fame. He is our narrator.

Ahh, I remember having a blast with this movie in college. Had one roommate who was a fellow B-movie buff (particularly of the Post-Apoc variety) and one who wasn't but who was a Shakespeare buff. Guess what we decided to show him one night... :teddyr: Of course, he returned the favor and dredged an uncut copy of Urotsukidoji from I know not where so we suffered right back.

Haven't seen Poultrygeist yet.

As for this, haven't seen it yet, but looking forward to it.

Ok, so I have two options here:

I can accuse you of putting that there just now, simply to mess with me. . or:
I can chalk this up to my aforementioned A.D.D.

I'm sticking with the A.D.D. excuse. .. . :)

Sir, on my honor, I do not believe that review has changed very much since the day it was written.  The Wayback Machine does show it as far back as April 2001:

(I only change stuff to screw with people like RCMerchant, because I laugh when he acts confused.)
