I've been trying to get ahold of a copy of "Sgt Kabukiman, NYPD" for a while, with no luck. I got ahold of a VHS of it, but it was damaged beyond use. I just signed up for a free trial of Netflix, and that was my very first choice. Of course, it stopped after just a few minutes of play, the disc was in VERY bad shape (Lol, as luck would have it, it stopped right at the first bit of nudity, which is only about 3 minutes into it.)
Anyways, is this common for Netflix: Getting discs that are damaged, even to a point of not being able to use them? I'm hoping it's partially due to it not being a very popular title, and they didn't but too many copies like they would something that is more popular, but it doesn't make complete sense.
I've only had this problem once - the disc of L'Avventura (Michelangelo Antonioni; 1960) I recieved was in terrible shape and wouldn't play past the first few DVD chapters. Netflix sent a new disc of the title my way in a hurry once I reported the issue.
Out of the fifty or sixty discs I've recieved from them that was my only problem I've had, so I'd say it's not a terribly common occurance.
Kindest regards,
Kevin P.

I've had Netflix for over a year now and I've had a couple with glitches but only one of them has ever been to F'd up to watch (X-Files, Season 1, disc 5). I'm still fuming over that one.
Lol, I guess I'm just lucky then. I was having some doubts about the whole system. Thanks, Greg.
