This is really messed up.

This may sound morbid, but I just love a public suicide!
I especially like how the ONLY quote from any of the city council members comes across more like a passive agressive indictment rather than showing any sympthay or remorse over the situation.

F*cked up story there Torgo my friend. Crazy. On another note, holy sh!t, welcome back Quinn! :teddyr:
Yeah I go through Clarksville, TN all the time ... and for some reason these story didn't surprise me knowing some of the people there.
Well, that answers that question. I was going to ask how he got a gun into the city council chambers, but as I said the article answered the question. It use to be that way in the city where I lived, no screenings, no metal detectors, but when someone pulled a gun in the county court house and shot and killed two people, metal detectors went up at all the city and county public buildings. And there hasn't been a murder or suicide in any of the public buildings since then.
This is oddly reminiscent of the infamous Bud Dwyer incident in the 80s. Still one of the most chilling incidents ever to hit modern culture.
Ah, yes...Bud Dwyer. I have that video on this computer somewhere...
Tragic. You really have to wonder what was going on in his mind. Had to be more than just the financial trouble. No doubt a bout of clinical depression to top off his troubles. I don't care how bad business is, you don't do something like that if you're sailing on an even keel emotionally.
What amazes me is that in what could easily have been a big screaming fit, Bo kept it low-key. No unnecessary speeches, just "Y'all have put me under. ... I'm out of here." Pretty effective. He definitely went in there prepared to have the last word.
Bo's memorable last words kind of remind me of George Sanders leaving a note simply saying that he was bored.
