I've been on an 80s cheese binge for months now that I've discovered a video store with an excessive inventory...but this one, even for a horror sequel, might actually get me back in the theatres for a while.
I saw this piece of crap in theaters unfortunately. I appreciate the direction they tried to take it in and trying to do all of the effects in camera was a interesting thing to do but this movie just made me want to punch myself in the groin over and over again.
Not very good, true, but still better than the first sequel.
Any good memories I may have had watching this film is soured by the fact that poor Heather O'Rourke died not long after it was finished.
It's too bad that this was the film she had to go out on as well. It's just not the same with her ripped away from the original cast. Tom Skerrit does not a Craig T Nelson make. Plus the plot had moments that made me scratch my head and wonder what the hell was going on.

Part 2 had the cheese with the 'medicine man', sure, but at least rev. Kane was genuinely creepy...not to mention the worm scene.
I can barely remember it, but it did look very boring to my teenage self. "Poltergeist III" at least had freaking things occurring every now and then, and pretty neat FX. For those days' standards, at least.
