...singing the song that the twin faeries sing to Mothra in "Godzilla vs. Mothra" (1964). Jenna asked me if she could put in the Godzilla music CD and was coloring. When the song came on, she stopped, stood in front of the player and clasped her hands and started to sing.
I am a proud father.
I hope that my daughter turns out like that... or that I have a child at all for that matter. Congratualtions Andrew!
I hear you Andrew. It's always amazing and heartwarming whenever my daughter picks up on something I am interested in. She is only 4 but she absolutely loves computers and such.
Here lately her interest has turned to anything Halloween related. She begged for a zombie candle after my wife and I purchased one for the house. You light a wick in the top of his head and blood red wax leaks out of his ears, eyes, mouth, etc. We put one in her room per her request but obviously don't leave it lit for fire reasons.
She loves the thing and has named him Rob which my wife and I both found to be hilarious.

Gee, I've been know to do the same thing when that song plays...
All together now....Awwwwwww!
Kaiju and Kids. A winning combination.
It's a good thing you don't have twins, or the giant moth appearances in your neighborhood would increase substantially.
I hope that CD doesn't have "Save the Earth" on it. :teddyr:
I always liked the Mothra fairy twins, but had forgotten the song till now.

I prefer this other Mothra song for Kaiju Karaoke time, personally.
Unfortunately, this is a rerecording, and not the original as sung by "The Peanuts".
This version is a bit more laid back and pitched lower, unlike the hyper-peppy original recording.

LOL!, no kidding!
I believe I'm one of the few human beings in the world that rather enjoy the twins singing. Except for the Rebirth of Mothra twins, those were annoying.
Nice work Andrew.
Congratulations Andrew! now she can helps us to conquer the world!! :bouncegiggle:

I like both versions. Both have a religious feel to them. Especially the original.
Must be nice Andrew, your kid watches Mothera and does something cute. When I introduced my kids to my old Godzilla collection, my daughter came to me later that night, moth in hand, and demanded to know where i kept my radioactive waste or if the microwave would work.
I keep telling Katie that she should make Jenna and her friend, Anya a pair of Shobijin costumes for Halloween. Of course, then I need a big goofy Mothra costume so that we can roam the neighborhood, stopping now and then for the two girls to sing to me as I flap my wings.
If we do this, I might spend the first week of November running away from those guys in the white uniforms. I imagine that dressing up as Mothra and having a pair of little girls sing to you might get the psychiatrists interested.
ROTFLMAO!! :bouncegiggle: :bouncegiggle: :bouncegiggle:
That reminded me of a picture I took over a year ago, when my daughter was 10 months old (she just turned 2 in August). We just couldn't keep her away from the movies. She had three favourite sections to empty and play with - Godzilla, MST3K and, of course, horror.
