So who was awsome this year and dressed up for halloween? I did! Post your costumes, I wanna see them! ill put mine up when I get home. Have an AWXSOME CREEPY-AS-HELL HALLOWEEN!!
Here's what everybody in my address book woke up to this morning...

Is that a My Pet Monster Anubis?
Where did you get one of those?
I'm one of those guys that will spend his rent money on reliving his childhood if not watched at all times by my better half. I picked up little Horace a few months back, originally intended to make Abu-Gharib parody pics with myself as the prisoner, but I figured the last thing I needed were nudity torture pics of me and My Pet Monster leaking onto the internet to ruin any future bids for government office... not that cocaine abuse kept good o'l Georgie Pordgie from getting into the highest office in the land...
I work in transit as a conductor and my trains are the A and C trains. If I were allowed to take pictures while at work, you'd be on the floor laughing (and I just got off work a little before midnight). I saw a guy dress up as a cockroach, complete with a roach motel at W. 4th st. (which is along the way of the Halloween parade in Greenwich Village). Two gay guys dressed as cowboys with post-it on the back that reads "Brokeback Mountain". A fine black chick dressed as a sexy white cat (hiding her "kittens"). The best ones I saw a few years back was this guy dressed as an Imperial Stormtrooper with the gun and helmet with a working mouthpiece and this girl dressed as Velma from Scooby Doo. Actual orange turtleneck and socks and brown skirt and shoes. A coworker of mine told me he saw someone dressed as Humpty (as in "The Humpty Dance is you chance to the Hump..."). Anyone who remembers hip-hop back in the late 80's knows to whom I'm talking about. Anyway, any out of towners planning to come to New York City around Halloween, come see the Greenwich Village Halloween Parade. You'll want come again and participate .
We don't celebrate halloween here officially, but I did go to a friend's pseudo halloween party on friday night which a few people dressed up. I went as Willy Wonka [sorry I got no photos] with purple/red velvet jacket, vest top hat and cane. The winner of the night though by far was my friend who went as the Hulk, and just painted himself green. He wore all the same clothes he normally would, he was just green. I called him the 'credible' Hulk.
It was funnier because he caught the train to the party and it was well before halloween so to most people he would have just been a weirdo wearing green.

I lost a bet with my wife and thus was forced to wear this to greet trick-or-treaters for 1 hour. Between the alarmed looks from parents and stunned silence from small children having their minds scarred for life, I actually started enjoying myself.

Yep, that really is me...uh...at Halloween...and yes I do like Wendy's.
I managed to creep the hell out of my little brother wearing this one:

B. The Flash
C. "It's the Mothaf**kin' K.K.K.!!!"

Woot! Costume success! See? It is easy to come up with a horrifing costume from items around the house :twirl:
Loved yours KYGOTC even tho the wife thought you were the flash
Newt,, how did your kid hold a bag for goodies in that? Karma for its awesomeness!
Thanks Khaz! It was the most fun I have had with a glue gun.
Goodie bag: well, we were going to have him just hang it on the 'plunger' appendage...and I considered installing a lidded slot/panel at the front (like a garbage receptacle?)...ended up having a human captive (dad or big sis) carry it for him. Simplest.
He brought home quite a haul, too.
Newt, I am in awe... :buggedout:

I'm the one in the mask, obviously. Very unique, I know.
We have already planned for next year. My wife, daughter and I will be going as a family of zombies. I plan on ordering some latex effects and such for it next year.
That is a great Dalek costume, Newt! Hopefully the young one knew to scream stuff like "Exterminate!" and "Annihilate" at random points during conversations.
I like to shout stuff like that while not dressed like a Dalek... and I wonder why the little Korean lady at the corner store doesn't like me...

.....That is beautiful. That has got to win some sorta award, or something!
Wow, Anubis, Andrew, KYGOTC - high praise indeed - thanks!
I think a lot of people heard "Exterminate!" and "Daleks do not identify!" (when he was asked what he was) There was a lot of head-turning and plunger-waving going on.
It was a fun project. One of those steep-learning-curve, 'so now what do I do with knowing how to make one?' deals. But the best part is the kid is still 'playing' with it - as it sits in our living room.
I get the feeling we may all be playing with it this weekend...I'd like to record a bit of video of the Dalek trundling down the road. Maybe visit the cows next door...
