Title: Firebird 2015.....worst move ever?
Post by: respectmeordye3 on November 25, 2007, 02:04:02 PM
Man oh man, is THIS the worst B-movie ever or what?

I do plan to eventually do a review on this horrid sci-fi film but I thought I'd kinda at least give you an idea of just how terrible this film is, first.

Kind of a sneak peek you might say.....

keep in mind as you read this that it is an Apocalyptic future type movie--actually it's a lot like a confusing Road Warrior ripoff.

The Plot:

It is the future--as with any decent "apocalyptic future" type film, the whole area is a desert.

Cars are illegal, driving is illegal, and using gasoline is illegal.

Why?

Because there is such a shortage of gas that it's almost impossible to find of course!

So of course there are good guys who race around in there cars and don't give a hoot about the law--and who does the Government send to capture these " law breakers" --why the DMV-who else?

The main problem with this train of thought is how the DMV gets around--motorcycles,cars,trucks,etc.--In other words they are doing the very same thing that the law breakers they are chasing down are doing!

IMHO this would be like trying to stop a serial killer by blowing up the planet--it does absolutely no good.

I mean really--the DMV uses gasoline to go after guys who are breaking the law by using gasoline-does this make any sense to anyone else?

And the officers of DMV team--sheesh.

You have one woman on the team who passes the time by trying to shoot her commanding officer as he rides towards her on his motorcycle--and the DMV complains about not having enough officers to capture all the lawbreakers!

Just a tip--it helps if you don't kill your team-mates.

Most of the other DMV team members are rather boring and pretty hard to tell apart--the leader himself is even boring.

Notice I said "most of the other  DMV members" and not "All of the rest of the DMV members"

I say this because.......aw, never mind you will find out when I post my review of this incredibly hard to find film............

Let's change the subject to stone polishing. There are three basic.........what is that?, you mean you want to know about the last DMV guy?

Are you sure?

Are you positive?

Okay---but don't blame me if you have any nightmares after reading about this guy.....

To put it bluntly, he's an American Indian. But that isn't good enough for the writers and makers of this film-nosiree!

At one point near the start of the film he sneaks away from the rest of the team to do some good old fashioned indian meditation--which as it turns out, in this case means screaming with your mouth shut nonstop through out the movie for the next half-hour, while smearing yellow house paint on yourself and stripping down to your underpants and doing a little dance--all in extremely slow motion, while really phony sounding "indian" music plays in the background.

If there are four movies I hope eventually make it onto this site for a legitimate review they would be.

1. Rubberface(Early Jim Carrey drama)
Just avoid it at all costs!

2.Copper Mountain:A Club Med Experience-another early Jim Carrey movie to avoid, more of a comedy but on the other hand this "buddy comedy" teams Jim Carrey up with Alan Thicke.

3. High School U.S.A.
Tons of celebs past and present--and do I mean TONS! Cheesy but a lot of fun.

4. Firebird 2015 A.D.
This one is the one I want to see get reviewed the most of all of them!
