2007 was the year I found Badmovies.org and the great community of bad movie lovers that contribute here. Thanks, Andrew and everyone else for making it a much more interesting year! May everyone's 2008 be their best year yet!
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE !!
And once again, we drop the ball.
Maybe it has something to do with resolutions.

Just out of curiosity, what will you explore for in your creek? I'm a veteran creek crawler!
May our cumulative useless knowledge expand in the new year! Best to you all!
Anyone make resolutions?

KYGOTC, what did your parents tell you about the New Year's Eve scene? :hatred:
This year, I'm gonna figure out a way to make some money...
... & see if I can get that old '75 CB400f up & running...
... & see if I can get that old '85 Quasar Newvicon up & running...
... & see if I can get this 6 year old mongrel up & graded...

Ah, those mid-70's era bikes were a BLAST. I had an RD350 (two stroke) in candy apple red that would absolutely FLY when tuned up properly.
Interestingly enough, when I was moving my new-to-me boat down from NC, a friend road part of the way down...15 miles or so along the New River. Somehow, we got on the subject of bikes, and it turned out he used to race RD's.
I could not resist checking the CB400F against the RD350 and found this on motorcyclistonline.com:
Quote
But [the CB400F] was slightly slower than Kawasaki's KH400 triple, and almost a half-second slower than Yamaha's reigning RD350 twin. The RD and CB put out almost the same horsepower, but the RD was a telling 51 pounds lighter. In handling, the CB400F came up short against the RD's lighter weight, slightly better suspension and quicker turn-in.
Hehe. Sorry.
The Honda sure is a nice looking motorcycle, though. Here's to getting your bike on the road.
Well, having never had a two-stroke (please don't laugh), I still prefer the CB400, in terms of reliability & maintenance. (It worked fine the last time I tried it back in August 2004, & it's still coughing like it's trying.)
I've had two Yamahas (an '81 ES400 & an '85 Virago 1000) & two Kawasaki KZs (a '78 650b & an '80 750e).
The two Yamahas were plagued with electrical problems, & were next to impossible to work on.
The two KZs were top heavy & handled horribly, & the brakes would lock up at the slightest touch, causing a few dates with the pavement. Also, it didn't take me too long to discover that KZs were notorious for mid-season assembly changes, making it a royal pain in both ends finding parts.
Don't get me wrong, two-strokes are well known for their performance, but since they're not street legal anymore, there's just no place around here I could use one.
Oh, and a slight correction - I don't think it was an '85 Quasar Newvicon, but rather an '85 Quasar VM-10.

Hehe, you got that right. I recall having to adjust the points on that Yamaha about every 100 miles or so to keep her in proper trim. But hey, when she was running right, that thing would absolutely SCARE you.
I remember once riding with a friend on board, I decided to open 'er up. I just had to see what she would do. I came around a curve and let her have her air. After cruising through 70 mph in third (this was a six speed), and I was almost NOT able to hold on to the handle bars, I backed down a bit.
This was with two guys on the bike, and we were both sliding backwards on the seat....
That bike would FLY. No doubt.
Let me know how she runs when you get her back on the road. Those mid 70's bikes had soul.
A late Happy New Years to all.
Had a party at mine this year [third year running] which was a load of fun.
Bad part was the 42 degree heat. It looks like Santa wanted New Years Eve to be the hottest day and night of '07. Sweltered in style baby!
:teddyr:
Happy New Year everyone!!! :hot:
I wish everyone best of health for this year!
:twirl: :twirl: :twirl: :twirl:
May everyone have a 2008 full of badly acted movies with plot holes you could drive a semi through and visible boom mikes! (That toast didn't go over too well at my New Year's party, but I hope you guys will appreciate it).
I've started off 2008 with a major upper respiratory infection so hopefully things will only go up from here. :twirl: :hatred:
Richest blessings and good wishes to all for 2008!
Just a quick heads up: if all goes well, I shall be somewhere on the continent of the USA in August 2008. This will be great for me to go there, but I feel some of my friends there will start stressing when they hear that I'm on my way. :buggedout:
The end result will be a very panicked filling in of emigration forms, swearing and screaming, shouting "Trevor's coming, bugger it, let's get outta here!" :buggedout: :teddyr:
Torgo, hope you get well soon.
Welcome back Trevor!! You'll have to make sure and document your trip and let us know your impressions of things here is US.
Happy New Year, Trevor !
Good to see you back trevor. Hope you have a good time in here in the good old US of A when you come.
Thanks, trek, allhallows and flackbait: I hope that www.ifla.org (http://www.ifla.org) will accept my paper on censorship and that www.dac.gov.za (http://www.dac.gov.za) will let me go.

"let me go"? Have you been captured?
KYGOTC: :bouncegiggle: :bouncegiggle:
Welllllllll, you know, the Department need strong men to capture for breeding purposes, sperm donation, urine samples, scientific studies, etc: I wasn't the best, but I was available. :buggedout:
Seriously, if I am allowed to go, the Department will be footing the bill for the flight, accomodation, new underpants, things like that. :teddyr:

Well my friend, first it was all natural. Ya know, just a stream with some woodsy stuff all around it. We found an old old abandoned playground and we ended up going under some train tracks and we even found a fire extinguisher! And then eventualy, the creek turned to concrete. I need to go back there. it ruled.
