Just saw this (http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20080130/film_nm/nightmare_dc) on Yahoo! News. Freddy Kreuger is coming again, and this time we'll apparently see his backstory. Funny thing is, with Robert Englund still playing him, he'll be older before he died than after...
I somehow don't think this bodes well.
Angels and ministers of grace defend us!!! :buggedout: :buggedout: :buggedout:
Eh, I'll probably still watch it.
heck,i'll buy it,just to complete the collection...i know,anal retentive,yaddayaddayadda....
what`s worse is that Michael Bay has something to do with this, no thank you.
This is sure to stir up further debate of the old vs. the new, and how there seems to be an alarming lack of originality and new ideas coming from modern-day filmmakers, not to mention the pursuit of the almighty dollar.
For the record, I'm firmly on the side of the '70s and early '80s.
It could be good if they don't go and screw up the backstory up or retcon anything. I'm still p**sed at what Star Trek did to their continuity in First Contact. :tongueout:
