IMHO no show will ever match the greatness of Cheers. I could watch any time and always have something to laugh about.

I went to Boston and visited the inspiration bar and the tribute bar. I was very tempted to buy the entire DVD collection, but my desire to have enough money to get back home kept me from doing so. Probably my all time favorite sit-com.
I absolutely loved Cheers when it was on telly. My favourite charactor would have to be Lillith.
An all-time favorite that I just had to stop watching after a while because I had seen it too often and it stopped being funny. Now that it's been a few years since I watched it may I should add some discs to the Netflix queue and check them out again.
Cheers was the ish, if I must say so myself. Has anyone here seen the absolutely amazing job Danson has done in his new show Damages. I just finished watching the 3rd episode from the first season on DVD and even though these shows aren't stylistically comparable qualitatively they are. Pilot for Pilot I'm sure Damages takes the cake with out a doubt, but lets see if they can match the consistency and longevity of a show like Cheers. All I can say is Damn Sam you've come along way brother.
In different ways, I can think of a few shows that were as great as Cheers. (not that Cheers wasn't great -- don't get me wrong, I loved Cheers)
Taxi. I mean, at times that was just nuts. Christopher Lloyd in his early days -- even with the laugh track it's still funny.
