Title: The Bone Eater
Post by: Jack on February 09, 2008, 11:02:51 PM
Anybody else watch this?  I thought it might be good, but I only made it halfway through.  Pretty dull.  Anyhow, I sat down for the last 3 minutes of it - hilarious.  Bruce Boxleitner, in Indian war paint, taking on a giant CGI skeleton monster, with CGI skeleton dreadlocks nonetheless, while spaghetti western music plays.  I'm just...speechless.  In a good way  :teddyr:

Oh, I watched this.....wow.  Just, wow.  Boxleitner as a shaman warrior was by itself worth sitting through this turkey.  Much more entertaining than some of the recent Sci-Fi junk.

I watched this one, it was pretty good, in a bad but funny sort of way, complete with spaghetti western music. I found it interesting that in addition to Mr. Boxleitner, this movie also had Gil Gerard, William Katt, and Walter Koenig in it, I expected Walter and William to have larger roles than they did, but that's life. One thing I have to say is that looking at the sun with a normal telescope is a very bad idea, at the very least it will damage or destroy the telescope, and it will cause eye damage and permanent blindness.
The reason I mention this is that in one scene a professor of archeology and his students are digging for artifacts, he is also going to watch a total eclipse, he claims to know astronomy but he's going to use a standard telescope, this is a good way to lose your eyesight.

I started to watch this last nite on sci-fi, and when it started i found the typical 'redneck construction good ole boy' to be funny in a stiff way. sometimes bad acting can be amusing. it didn't hold my attention though, i woke up later with pizza still on my lap...

I really tried to sit through this movie but the first 15 minutes just made me so mad for some reason and I turned it off when the suit showed up at the construction site. Money grabber eaten by monster- seen it  I'll try again on Thursday when it repeats. Watching a Scifi original has just gotten so difficult lately, with or without creatures. Ah well, the Bone Eater was at least cool enough.

Hey, at least this beauty was better than Skeleton Man that was on after it.  My guts almost exploded like those guys in Toxic Spawn when I saw these back-to-back.   :drink:

Yea that's the one.  I thought of e-mailing sci-fi channel and asking them to give me four hours back of my life, but that is the way the cookie crumbles.

I was trying to watch this one too......my cousin and I got about 30 minutes into this one with no idea whatsoever what was going on, other than having giggling fits over the way they kept changing the horse the killer thing was riding and not even trying to hide the fact by, I dunno, using two horses the same size and color maybe.  What the heck was that movie about, anyway?
