Title: How are your dentist visits?

I just had three fillings done today and was wondering if anyone besides me have sh*t luck at the dentist.  Just once I'd like to hear him say "Ok, you're all set.  See you in 6 months".  I haven't had major issues aside one cap but my mouth isn't exactly in great shape either.  I brush daily but don't floss as much as I should.

They must be pretty good. I have seen him four times a year for the past 27 years, and he hasn't raised his prices in those 27 years.

I haven't been in a couple months, but they're pretty good.  Only problem I had was having to get the wisdom teeth out last year.  I like the dentist though.  Blows all my other dentists to hell.

I'm normally allright, however there's occasionally a cavity that leads to pain.  Horrible, horrible pain.

I avoid the dentist at all costs.  I hate the buggers.  Last time I went was 2006 sometime and he took care of some stuff that needed seeing to.  Since then - forget it.  After the last visit I was all set and I vowed to be the only one to look after my mouth.

I take pretty good of my teeth. Last couple of years have been very good. I also had to take out some wisdom teeth but that it. When I was small though I never brushed or anything and my teeth were nasty and had lots of cavitys.

Pretty much every tooth in my mouth has a filling in it.  Two root canals, a few caps, you name it.  Just had a root canal about 6 months ago.  There's nothing like a toothache for pure, right-in-your-brain pain.  I don't much like my dentist.  One time I had an appointment and went in, he was too busy to see me and I had to go back again later in the week.  Christ, I'm one of his best customers!  Jerk.

I had one of the most painful wisdom tooth extractions known to mankind.  It was back in about 1982, and that screwball had those teeth broken up into several pieces and ripped out each chunk individually.  Good god, that was fun.  Then I had to go back a week later so he could do the same thing on the other side.

I've got my share of fillings and three crowns, but I floss religiously because I hate that damned scaler (that evil looking thing they scrape the plaque off your teeth with).

If you have receded gums like I do they have this other torture device you want to avoid, the sonic scaler. The woman used that on my teeth once and my mouth hurt for a week.

I usually get congratulated for how well I take care of my teeth. Most of the problems I've had were from not going to the dentist for like nine years after I got out of the service.

Never had a cavity in my life.
