Hello, bad movie buffs.
We're holding a poll at Ditto to find the top 5 'Worst Movies I've Ever Had The Misfortune To See'.

Personally, I'd like to see 'I Am Legend' or the remake of 'The Wicker Man' up there due to their crimes against source material.

I have to agree with Battlefield Earth, though. Damn that was a bad movie. And not even in a good way.
I picked:

I agreed with a lot of them but, damn, the sheep goes "baah" :tongueout: Pff, everyone puts down Battlefield Earth. Me, too! Me, too!

1. Crossroads - save me, Cold As Ice! GAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!! (2001)
2. Scary Movie - and so it began... (2000)
3. Epic Movie - if it hadn't been family movie night...(2007)
4. Anywhere But Here - What could I have been thinking, agreeing to that. (1999)
5. Freddy Got Fingered - somebody thought this was a good idea. (2001)
These are considered "normal" I don't really like "normal" movies anymore. Note the trend here: the most contemorary movies are getting worse and worse :question:
Hmm my opinion really hasn't changed much since when I posted this old list:
5) ACCIDENT (1967): Supposed to be a great thriller, this film is in fact an exercise in boredom.
4) NATURAL BORN KILLERS (1994): a mindlessly repetitive onslaught of violence with no real rhyme or reason to it. I would have feel asleep if this weren't so blasted noisy. Big disappointment to me as I loved PLATOON and BORN ON THE FOURTH OF JULY.
3) TITANIC (1997): you take one of the world's biggest disasters and turn it into a dumbed down romance to appeal to the masses. Definitely the worst take on the disaster ever put to film IMHO. Most overrated movie in history perhaps?
2) BOOGIE NIGHTS (1997): Talk about your overrated pieces of trash! It doesn't get any worse than this overlong, dull mess in offensiveness. Absolutely awful acting but then one shouldn't expect any less from one of the worst actors in history, namely Mark Wahlberg.
1) ARMAGEDDON (1998): talk about mindless. It doesn't get any dumber than this. This is nothing but special effects (and not lovable memorable Harryhausen style special effects either). What a terrible waste of fine acting talent!
Certainly not a comprehensive list by any means and only those that I can think of off the top of my head:

These lists mean nothing without dividing up current movies with older, no/low budget stuff.
But here at Badmovies, we all like bad movies. What does the "worst" movie mean anymore?

Am I the only one who liked Dune? Yes, I read the book and understand the criticism, but the score and visuals were perfect. Dune needs to be re-done with more attention paid to the actual source material.
OK... My worst movies, this runs the spectrum from disappointing to revulsion. In no particular order...
Blues Brothers 2000 - Plot bad, kid worse.
Dungeons and Dragons - Oh the pain of an old gamer.
Batman and Robin - I didn't mind Arnie and Uma was freaking hot, but what they did to Bane was unforgivable. And please leave the camp to Adam West.
Star Wars Prequels - I didn't like them. Some parts of the story were OK, but other parts just seemed forced. I hated how they executed the Clone Wars. It should have been a much more cloak and dagger fight with clones of officials assassinating each other in a battle to control the Old Republic. I was severely disappointed in the whole Jango Fett angle. It could have been so much better. I shall not mention he who shall not be named.

3 movies that infuriated me, and 2 I nominate as the most boring and senseless wastes of talent ever.
SALO (1976): Sade never pretended the source material was art, why does Pasolini?
PINK FLAMINGOS (1972): I would rather reenact Divine's trick than be forced to sit through this again.
SWEET MOVIE (1974): Lost me when they started singing the Socialist sea shanties.
HEAVEN'S GATE (1980): It was like being 10% conscious through abdominal surgery; thankfully, I can't remember exactly what happened, but I know it was excruciating.
THE TERROR (1963): Boris, Jack, Roger, we loved you! How could you do this to us?
Runners up: GOOD WILL HUNTING, STRIPTEASE, THE SCREAMING SKULL, BASIC INSTINCT, and many that I've put out of my memory.
