This morning's Beeld [Image] newspaper had an interview with the poor schmuck who drove that car and he said that he was damn lucky to escape. He says that the way the gardens were laid out made it difficult to turn but that he thought he would be OK. Well, he was, but the car wasn't. :buggedout:
That car is currently being rebuilt, by the way: the damage was quite considerable.
Well, he got the tree loaded in the truck just fine. Tree was a little too big for the truck, but...

He also said that he's lucky that his truck (or "bakkie" as we call a small truck here) was old and very strongly built, otherwise he would have been squashed along with his truck. :lookingup:
