Not really new news (July 30...), but I did just find out. There's also an IMDb page for it, which lists Neil Marshall as the executive producer.
I thought that the full British version of The Descent was one of the best movies that I saw in 2006. Wonder how the sequel would turn out as it would have to be a new group of characters.

I couldn't agree more, Torgo. But, while I'm not much up for sequels, as they seldom come close to the original, this is one sequel I would make an effort to see.
I fear another Tremors 2
`
Can you PLEASE tell me the name of the "MALE" version
of this movie?? it had five expert divers, possibly Navy Seals,
who were in these underwater caves and were attackled by
superhuman zombie men with capes

Not sure about the monster description but "male version of The Descent" and the other stuff you say makes me think of The Cave.
`
TYVM, but I dont think that is it. I actually saw that one, but
the one I saw had vampire-demon things that appeared to have
capes like Batman and they flew. They were tall and I think they
had greyish-white faces

I kinda liked tremors 2. :bluesad:
I liked Tremors 2 as well :teddyr: Don't know about the Descent 2, it had great action and suspense, but really no characters or plot. Makes it kind of hard to even form an opinion of what a sequel would be like.

I flat-out liked Tremors 2.
It's 3 and 4 that made me turn away.
Well, since this has been brought back to the top, I'll tell everyone what I've heard.
First, the filmmakers are going with the American ending of the first film, as there was--possiblely--one survivor. As opposed to the British ending, where everyone--supposedly--died.
The plot has the lone survivor telling the local sheriff what happened. He not believing her, since her back down there, and I presume with someother spelunkers, to find out what really happened.
And I'm not usually fond of sequels, but this is one I may actually see.

Well that sucks. I liked the fact they killed them all off. I doubt I will watch this sequal. They should have gone with a plot such as a search team finding the cave rather than use the somehow one survived.

She VOLUNTARILY goes back? That's ****ing ludicrous. Talk about awful writing.
