Poultrygeist came to AK, in Anchorage the 11th and 12th. I planned on going to see it but I got sick. It's a 2-1/2 drive to the theater, and it starts at 10:10 pm, so it wasn't too convenient anyways, but I was hell bent on seeing it anyways. I could have handled the movie, but the 5 hours of round-trip driving was the clincher. I'm pretty bummed, , probably won't have another opportunity. .
That's unfortunate, but one thing I will say about Troma's films is that you usually are not missing anything if you don't see them on the big screen. They're usually made for home viewing.
Yeah, Andrew's right on this one Ghouck. I saw it, and though I enjoyed it (as much as you can enjoy a Troma movie), I probably wouldn't have made the effort to see it in a theater. I'll buy the commercial DVD when it comes out though, just to support the company's future endeavors in my own small way.
I was really looking forward to seeing what kind of looneys show up for that sort of thing.
