Since I've posted so many music/link threads from hardcore punk to electronica, I figure I should post the vids from my favorite of all time, starting with her stuff from the Sugarcubes (sorry couldn't find any of the ancient jazz stuff):

I like Bjork quite a bit.
This is not the ancient jazz stuff, but here's a wonderful jazz performance from her "Debut Live" album:

She looks unusually pretty here, too.
I'm not disappointed with the direction her career took, but as a jazz fan I'll always wonder what might have been had she stuck with it.
My favorite Sugarcubes song by far is "Birthday":

You covered the solo stuff well. "Joga" and "Possibly Maybe" are my favorites of those. The only one I would add is "5 Years":

That first link you have is also one of my favorites from Debut - never saw this particular performance though - awesome!
Those are all good - I have almost all of her stuff - I lack Gling-Glo, the jazz album and I'll be damned if I know anyone that has stuff from her elementary school years (I guess she's been releasing stuff since age 5?!). I have all but one Sugarcubes albums I think (could be one I didn't know about).
Hard to nail a favorite - Heirloom will always be up there, as is All is Full of Love. One of my other favorites is Come to Me on her Debut album. I still need to get Drawing Restraint 9, but I have all of her other solo work from Debut on up to Volta. Post used to be my favorite until Homogenic and Vespertine -now I'm not sure anymore which is the best.
I have Gling-Glo ad I like it a lot. Jazz, but very aggressive, all in Icelandic, and she really lays it out and howls at times. That's why I think it would have been fascinating if she continued in that direction.
I first encountered her through the Sugarcubes, back when I was in college, though I only owned the 1st album.
Other than that I have 3 live albums that were released together: Debut, Homogenic and Post. But I used to hear a lot of her on the radio and from my friends in the 90s. Incredible voice and an adventurous musical spirit.
I saw THE SUGARCUBES live, they opened for PETER GABRIEL, I think, 'round 1986 or '87...
Does anyone know any back story on the Bjork video that has been floating around the net for years of her punching out some lady that was bothering her?
Hahah I have a link to that in the "Funny Youtube Clips" thread. Basically, from what I heard, a particular reporter had been hassling her for a long time and Bjork reached her boiling point and blew her stack, attacking her. Not sure if there's any truth to that but that's what I've heard.

Something to that effect. I saw it on TMZ one night. I usually don't watch that show, but I happened to get off work and saw it. I was like, "Go Bjork, it's your birthday."
Hey I saw the sugarcubes live back in...... (deja vu)
