Title: Yoo-hoo

The drink Yoo-hoo (http://www.yoo-hoo.com/) has been around for a long time.
Ever since the 1920's, people have been guzzling this stuff like there's no tomorrow.

I recently tried some for the first time and it almost made me puke!   :bluesad:

The bottles are deceptive.
On the outside, it looks like you're buying some delicious Nestle Quick chocolate milk drink...but don't be fooled!

From what I can tell, it's pretty much chocolate flavored water.
But yet I have friends who down this stuff like it's going out of style and they love it.

I like "chocolate flavored anything"...except Yoo-hoo.
How people actually think this stuff tastes good is beyond me.
It has to be one of the nastiest drinks I've ever had the displeasure of tasting.
Do any of you know what's actually in Yoo-hoo? (the ingredients)

What about you?
Do you like Yoo-hoo?

You are suppose to shake it up first, before you drink it. :tongueout:

I do like it, but just on occasion for something different. I guess that's the stupid teenager in me coming out. :twirl:

I don't like this stuff at all!     I tried it as a kid, as I loved chocolate milk and thought that's what it would taste like.  Wrong!  As mentioned, it tastes like chocolate-flavored water.  Ugh.   :tongueout:

I have never sampled it, but having now heard that it tastes like chocolate flavored water, I will assuredly be avoiding it.

You beat me to it ... damn. If you don't shake it up it taste like muddy water all the chocolate settles on the bottom.

It's ok, my kids love it, I think it appeals to kids more so than adults. I prefer the sophisticated taste of Peach Nehi.

When was the last time I had one...?  Great with cookies, hot dog, sandwich, I think like everything, as you get older, the quality goes down as the value of the memory increases.  I think ASH is right, it is chocolate water...  :teddyr:
I don't drink this sh!t anymore, but when I was a kid more than 30 years ago, YOO-HOO was the sh!t!!   Yeh... and y'gotta shake it up !!

I don't think we have it here.  But based on the description, I'm just as happy to give it a pass.

My Mom made chocolate popsicles once, back when I was a kid.  With water.  *shudder*  What was she thinking??

I've never tried it.  I always drank Nestle's Quick.

It's been around forever, but I never tried because I don't like the way it looks in the bottle.  It looks like water with Nestle's Quik in it.

It's okay.  I don't regularly drink it, but once in a while pop open a bottle.

I've never tried it - they don't sell it here.  But if it's as watery as you say, it would surely benefit from some Bailey's Irish Creme added.

I've never actually had watery Yoo-Hoo.  Tasted fine to me.  Like I stated earlier though, it's not my favorite either.  I'd much rather pick up NesQuick or Wawa Chocolate Milk instead.

I don't drink it very often now but when I do it's golden.

I love chocolate in it's regular unadorned form. However, chocolate cake, ice cream of milkshakes make me hurl! They're far too sweet and rich for my liking. That stuff,. however diluted, sound like liquid poison!
