This applies to both console and PC games BTW.
Over the past couple of weeks I have bought the following:
1) Fatal Fury Battle Archives Volume 2 (PS2)
2) World Heroes Anthology (PS2)
3) SNK Arcade Classics Vol. 1 (PS2)
4) Record of Lodoss War (Dreamcast)
5) Thunder Force III (Genesis)
My last, which I have yet to play more than 45 minutes, was "Resident Evil 4."
If I ever come across a copy of "Godzilla: Save the Earth" for the PS2 at a Gamestop, I will pick it up.

Here is what I bought myself recently:
TOCA Race Driver 2 (PS2)
TOCA Race Driver 3 (PS2)
Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War (PS2) Returning b/c it doesn't work :(
The King of Fighter 2006 (PS2)
I don't think I'm getting anything else for a while, until Lego Indiana Jones comes out. AFter that I think I'll will be done buying for my PS2.
The first Guitar Hero for PS2
Snagged Outrun 2006: Coast to Coast today for the PS2 for only 8 bucks.
An extremely fun update of the original Outrun game.

I'm just playing through that for the second time, almost finished actually. Pretty cool, when you restart from the save point at the end of the game, you get to keep all the weapons and ammo you accumulated during your first play through. You can really make mincemeat out of all the bad guys. Got the infinite ammo rocket launcher a while ago, the game really gets a bit too easy at that point.
I haven't been buying anything new lately. Played through Project Snowblind (PS2) for a second time, still my favorite FPS. Played through Draken the Ancient Gates a second time, it was the first game I ever bought for the PS2 and I had a whole lot of fun playing through it again. Even got the Mournbringer sword, after which you're pretty much invincible. Now I'm just finishing RE4.
Haven't picked any up in a bit, but about 2 months ago I bought:
1.) Mortal Kombat: Armageddon (PS2)
2.) MLB '08: The Show (PS2)
3.) Mario Kart Wii
4.) SEGA Bass Fishing (Wii)
I picked up Hot Shots Golf Fore! for the PS2 over my 4 day July 4th weekend along with Lego: Indiana Jones the Original Adventures for the PS2 as well.
Both are incredibly fun and I've actually become quite addticed to Hot Shots Golf 4 as I pretty much just played it all day on Sunday.
The Lego Indiana Jones is great but not quite as good as the 2 Lego Star Wars games.

I was thinking about getting the Indy game. Looks fun, which is odd, cause I have zero interest in the flicks.
I'd buy Hot Shots Fore though.
Well it's been 3 years, it's about time somebody bought a video game around here! :bouncegiggle:
Picked this up

Just because it's got the old arcade game Zaxxon as an unlockable. Used to be one of my favorite games back in about 1982. Thought it would make a nice stocking stuffer.
I don't think I've purchased one in at least a couple years. I'm more into board games these days.
Got this for the low low price of...FREE!

Not a bad person, but certainly one who deserves to be PUT IN A PIT OF FIRE.
[I'm actually quite interested in it, though I don't believe it will be brilliant by any stretch.]

Amazon's got Deus Ex Human Revolution for $30 today so I had to pick that up. Can't pass up a bargain you know
EDIT: Ordered Bayonetta and Vanquish for $17 each. Can't pass that up either!
Now if I don't buy another game until 2013, maybe I can finish all these.
Ordered this for twelve bucks including shipping:
Ordered it from a "just launched" seller on Amazon, so hopefully I'll actually get it lol. I could either get it in "like new" condition form this guy for $12, or the next cheapest one, from a well-established seller, was $16.50 in "good" condition. Eh, what's life without a little risk, right?
The kids got a Wii from Santa, so we have had picked up a few games. I don't get to play them very much, but the following are two really fun ones.
Raving Rabbids Collection
Rabbids are anthropomorphic rabbits that scream. This has a twisted and fun sense of humor. The TV party is good for multiple players, with some funny games. I enjoy the first person shooter mini-games where you have to use plungers to shoot the rabbids that are out of place in movies. There are rabbids wearing chicken outfits in a zombie movie and rabbids wearing alpine climber outfits in an aliens infesting a spaceship movie. The dance contests are also pretty fun.
de Blob 2
This is a great game. It's set in a world where Comrade Black has drained all of the color from everything. You are a freedom fighter who is a blob. You get to roll around, jump in pools of paint (or jump on robots that are filled with the color they sucked out of something) and then repaint the town. When you start, each level (town) is drab and dreary. By the time you finish the different challenges the whole town is alive with color, music, and dancing citizens.

Seems that the general consensus is that it's not very good, but it's always looked interesting to me. And it was only twelve bucks.
Ordered this:
Didn't really interest me too much when it first came out, but after watching some more videos of it I think it might be good. And it was only $25.
Ordered Bulletstorm
(http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/61PnPco2nbL._AA300_.jpg)
I'm not a big fan of shooters, but it looks kind of interesting. And it was $11.32 including shipping
MotorStorm: Arctic Edge for 1.99 second hand, good game!
Recently bought an XBox360.
Seeing as it's becoming hard to find PS2 and N64 Games that interest me secondhand, and I rarely play Wii, I needed a new system.
For the 360, I bought:
NHL '12
Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe
Mortal Kombat 2011
Batman: Arkham City
Sega Genises: The Mega Collection (40 or so Sega games on one disc)
Marvel vs. Capcom 3
There's another but I forget what it is.
Conquest of the New World
Freespace 2
Fallout 2
Fallout Tactics
GOG had some fair sales on Interplay games a couple of weeks ago.
Also, Total War Shogun. Have upgraded my computer after many years and am rather happy and rediscovering my love for RTS games.
Well my most recent console game purchase was Gran Turismo 5 XL. I didn't have a PS3 yet. The reason I purchased it was because it was on sale and I am an avid player of the Gran Turismo series,
Yesterday, I got a little bonus from work, so I used that to buy me a PS3 slim with a 320 GB HD.
My next PS3 game purchase will be L.A Noire.
After that is another game by Rockstar Games which isn't yet released. Grand Theft Auto 5.
For the PC, I plan to get Diablo 3 which is scheduled for release later this month.
Nuts. Almost bought Viewpoint for my Neo Geo cabinet on Ebay but I fell asleep at the bidding wheel and got outbid.
I found an old copy of
WCW/NWO: Revenge for the
N64, for $2.99.
Played that today.

Ordered Gran Turismo 5 XL. Traded in my copy of GT5 a long time ago, but like most racing games, I get a hankering to play it again every once in a while. And this edition comes with all the DLC released up to now, and I think you get a voucher for the next year's worth of DLC too. Meh, for $40 I couldn't resist.
Edit: No I guess you don't get the next year's worth of DLC. Oh well. I've only got about another 150 hours worth of monotonous grinding to do on that game and the platinum will be mine :bouncegiggle:

I actually like THPS4 better, I didn't like the 2 minute time limit.
I pre-ordered Test Drive: Ferrari Legends for $40, which was supposed to be releasing today, but then I canceled it because I've got another racing game arriving Friday. But then they changed the release date for Ferrari Legends to July 3, and now it's $50. So if I just wouldn't have done anything, I could have saved $10 and there wouldn't have been any conflict with other games anyway.
:hatred:
I've got GT5 arriving Friday.
Lollipop Chainsaw arriving in the middle of June.
And then Ferrari Legends at the beginning of July.
And I'd like to fit Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning in there somewhere.
And I'm currently having an awesome time with Infamous.
Too many games, too little time :teddyr:

Traded this in a long time ago, think I got $35 for it. Now I bought a replacement copy for $15 so I figure I saved $20. I dunno, I played if for 15 hours but unfortunately the gameplay doesn't start until you're 20-25 hours into it, so I kind of lapsed into a monotony-induced coma from sitting there pressing X to engage auto-battle for that whole time. Hopefully this time I'll be able to make it to the actual "game" part of it.

I'm about 7hrs into it... '
the ice part' I think. I haven't played it since Feb. I was hoping for a faster pace.
Seems like i'm watching a movie and not playing a game.
Mount and Blade, I can't believe I missed this game when it was released. I think I just sank an entire day off in it and didn't realize it the whole time. That is scary. I haven't been into a game that much since I was very young.
Picked this up just because it was cheap

Supposedly they fixed quite a few problems with the previous game - it's more open world, you don't have to press X to engage auto-battle for 20 hours before the gameplay starts, etc. I dunno, it's a pretty game, I figured for $19 brand new including shipping I could give it a try.
Katamari Forever ps3
I bought two games that critics and people say are good games- Saints Row 2 and Driver: San Francisco. I'll test these out soon.

Another medieval fantasy RPG. A big open world with realistic graphics, sort of like Skyrim, but with quite a few unique features. You start your quests first thing in the morning so you can finish before nightfall, because it gets really dark and all you can see is the little area illuminated by your lantern, so it turns into a bit of a horror game at that point. Looks like it's got a lot of very unique gameplay mechanics and tons of customization options for everything.
Here's hoping it will be good. And hoping it arrives in time to put it under the tree

I have it and yeah there's a lot to do in it. I never beat it though, as I was more interested in the game that came with it in a double pack,
Shogo:Mobile Armor Division. That was a n FPS mech adventure and a rather good one. Got the pack for around 10 bucks a few years back.

Thanks Umaril, I still haven't tried it out. I also picked up Shogo through GOG's Interplay Sale. So far enjoying it quite bit. I miss the FPS from that time period and it is different yet familiar at the same time. Similar in gameplay but setting is so very different then everything else I really play.

I've got Midnight Club LA. That was a pretty fun game but I got bored with it kind of quick. There were plenty of tracks but after a while they all started to seem the same. I'm mostly into sim's but I love a good arcade racer too, like Motorstorm Pacific Rift, and Grid was a lot of fun too. Grid 2 is coming out in a week and a half, but right now I'm saving all my fun money to build a gaming PC so I won't be buying any more games until later in the year.

I think I might have mentioned it in the other Video Game thread, but the other day I downloaded the latest Call Of Juarez title, Gunslinger on the Steam engine. Not a bad game! Well worth the $14.95. The graphics are a hybrid of cel-shading and regular level design. it's actually quite cool to look at! You could do worse for $14.95

On sale for $16 from Steam - love those 75% off sales :teddyr: It's got the two DLC's with the cars and tracks from the '90s as well. I had F1 2010 and really enjoyed that so hopefully this will be even a little better.
