Title: A movie I need a title to

Back in the late 50's I saw a sci fi movie where the aliens were underground and taking over people by placing an implant in their neck. The Earth people were pulled under ground through the sand. Does anybody remember that movie and it's name?

As Akiratubo said, INVADERS FROM MARS, which was remade in the '80s.
