Title: Hammerhead: Shark Frenzy (aka Sharkman)
Post by: BakuryuuTyranno on June 13, 2008, 02:10:02 PM
Is this movie worth seeing if I've seen the rest of its loose "series"? I enjoyed all of the other films Nu Image grouped with it.

It's not too bad, if you can accept William Forsythe as an action hero and that Hunter Tylo would ever have anything to do with him. Actuallly I think the creature looked pretty good and it has Jeffery Combs hammin' it up as the mad scientist.

Don't let the tropical scenery fool you, it was shot in Bulgaria.

Jeffery Combs is awesome in this movie.  One problem is there are too many gunfight scenes (with no weapons being reloaded) compared to the Sharkman kills.

I agree this one is a more entertaining than most of the other 'Shark Attack' flick.  Jeffery Combs is definitely awesome and the Shark Man is rather cool.

Still, it has nothing that comes close to this famous scene from SHARK ATTACK 3: MEGALODON:

It's one of the last titles the Scifi Channel financed before they started going down an extreme incline towards a hungry bear in terms of quality so it's enjoyable enough. The creature effects are acceptable and the plot isn't the worst I've experienced with Scifi.
