Title: Antikorper (Antibodies)
Post by: Sister Grace on June 15, 2008, 07:58:51 PM
Last night we watched Antibodies (2005?). Its a German thriller and was actually pretty good. The suspense was high and most of the actors were pretty good. While I figured out much of what was gonna happen after about forty minutes, sticking around and watching the rest of it was worth it. According to imdb, here is the synopses...

Long wanted serial killer Gabriel Engel gets arrested in a spectacular police strike. Small town cop Michael Martens travels to the big city to interrogate him. He associates a brutal murder case with the killer's method and hopes to close the case by getting a confession from Engel. Instead the clash of the two totally opposite characters shakes Michaels beliefs to the ground, turning him into a dangerous threat to the people around him.

Much of the movie was centered around the cop's relationship to his son and his concern for him that he was slipping into 'evil'. It wasn't that gruesome as i suspected, but definitely worth a rent if you're looking for something good to watch...

This was a pretty good film. The way the small town cop breaks down was just so "I can see that happening". The son was a bit strange and I could really see the doubt.
