Kung Fu Panda, Priceless, Iron Man, Cloverfield...

I think I'm more offended by the four stars given to
You Don't Mess With the Zohan.
Isn't a bit pointless to have a "Best of 2008" discussion/site/whatever when we are only half-way through the year?
Or did they do a time-warp and determine everything else from now til 2009 was really, really bad?
In any case, the only 2008 movie I've seen is Narnia, and will probably see Wall-E when it comes out, especially if it comes to the drive-in.
Where's Rambo!?
I'm more concerned with the fact that Speed Racer and Sex and The City both got over 3 stars.
2008 does seem to have been a better than average year for quality genre output, by which for stuff that could very well appeal to B-movie fans.
this fails because indiana jones should be before kung fu panda
First who compiled the list?
Second at last I check we're only in June ... exactly where the hell did the rest of the year go.
I think the author of the list is suffering from Premature Expectation, might wanna change the sheets.
Shouldn't lists of this type be done at the end of the respective year? :tongueout:
Actually, on (Some Guy Who Isn't) Ebert & Roeper recently they did a "Best of the Year (So Far)" show, so doing such a list isn't really unheard of. Besides, it gives critics with short memory spans something to refer back to when they do their end-of-the-year lists. :tongueout:
The title of the article's really just badly chosen anyway, because it's a list of the movies released so far from 2008 with each separated into categories of 1-5 stars, not just the "best" as it claims.
