by legend films. hows the quality on it? is the color on it good?
specal features?
I don't have this version, but I have GIANT GILA MONSTER in one of Mill Creek's 50 movie packs and the quality is very good. I have the Alpha Video DVD of KILLER SHREWS. I haven't watched it in a long time, but I seem to remember the quality was pretty good. I think I also have KILLER SHREWS in a Mill Creek 50 movie pack, but I haven't watched that version. As for your question about color . . . these are both black & white movies, so color is not an issue!
The Legend double feature of "The Killer Shrews" and "The Giant Gila Monster" is the one I used for my update to "The Killer Shrews" and it is the best print I have ever seen of the film. It gets very grainy for about 5 seconds when the shrews tree Rook.
I have not watched the colorized versions they included in that set.
thanks
Can't say much on it, but the version of the Gila Monster I have is a very good quality transfer. It's on a 9-movie set with some Gamera flicks and some other "Giant Monster" type flicks.
The version of "Gila Monster" that I have is on VHS -- The Elvira Mistress of the Dark version, so you get lots of Cassandra Peterson at the beginning and end --
This version also came free with a case of Coors Light beer, though this is not how I acquired it. I tend to avoid Coors Light . . .
So, you have both Elvira and a Coors beer ad on the box, in addition to a black and white still of the gila monster. The trash value of this is sky-high & I don't care how good the DVD is, I ain't tradin'!!!
peter trash/denny coors

Funny thing is, I was watching it and someone was like, "This looks stupid." An hour later they were still sitting there, like, "I might as well see how it ends."
Then a few days ago they're watching like,
PInk Flamingos and I'm like, "Never talk badly about my movies again." No disrespect to Waters though, as I like his movies.
the quality is good the color does look good the first time but it hurts my eyes after awhile
for some reason extras kinda suck but still okay probly wont watch in color agin thought
because ray kellog intented it on being black and white  recomended for fans
of the movies.
Has anybody else heard that in "The Giant Gila Monster" they didn't use an actual gila monster, but the closely related Mexican beaded lizard?
i did
I have Giant Gila Monster/The Wasp Woman on one of those "Drive-In Discs" that you can switch the sound to make it sound like you're at the drive-in. Also has a count-down clock, cartoons, concession stand ads and all that. Kind of a neat thing, but I got it more for the movie.
Love the Giant Gila Monster .. may be cheesy, but I love that old movie.
do you know where you can get it sounds kick @ss
