We've all had a moment when we missed out on something or just something stupid happens and it's really just bad luck.
For me it was the '04 Superbowl halftime show, yes the Janet Jackson one, and I said to myself, nothing happens during the halftime show, I'm going to get more Kool-Aid, big mistake. I have my head in the fridge when I hear my brother and his friend shouting in shock and awe, I turn my head to see what happened and it was over, now I only hear the stories.
p.s. I was 12 so actually seeing nudity was a big deal.
Eh...I saw it and you know....I wish I didn't. I don't think she is good looking at all and I really didn't need to see that.
Now...if that had been Kate Beckinsale up there for some reason...yeah, I'd have that on DVD.
:bouncegiggle: :teddyr:
Yeah, you can see pictures of it now and you didn't miss that much. I do sympathize with you about the opportunity to see a bare breast. Eventually you'll realize that, exciting as they are, not every bare breast is worth seeing. I remember my first exposure to most of them was thanks to late-night HBO. I've gone back and watched those movies and, well, I was not a discerning young lad.
My story of bad luck. I and a friend of mine got tickets to a Mitch Hedberg/Dave Attell/Lewis Black concert in Phoenix, all comedians I think are hilarious. Mitch Hedberg did not make the show. It was the only show he missed on the tour because he got caught in traffic. A year later he was dead of a drug overdose. Bad luck for me, Mitch Hedberg is hilarious.
That boob thing parlayed into one of the most idiotic media witch hunts ever. I recall getting into an argument a day or two later with several women I work with about it. What shut them up was my comments about how football's target audience is beer swilling males who like boobs anyhow. That and if they were concerned about (dear lord) the children seeing boobs, I said I would have sacraficed goats to see boobs on tv back in my preteen days. Even now I say we need more boobs on tv, billboards, newspapers, etc, etc etc. Hell, it works in Europe and many other places.
I missed it too myself when it happened, I had slipped out of work early that night since it was dead slow and I was checking my e-mail and the next day at school it was all that was talked about, and then I was like rats I missed something interesting. Then after seeing the pics and videos of it, I said to myself well I didn't miss too much. My dad made a comment on it saying that "People want to watch football, not dirty dancing."
First of all Janet Jackson has ugly titties, so not seeing her saggy bag was no loss you didn't see it and likely it would have scarred you for life.

Well, also it was the fact that it was a major t.v. moment and a huge controversy and every time it came up in conversation I had to say, "Yeah, uh, I was getting some Kool-Aid when that happened so, yeah." I'm sure it's actually a good thing I missed it considering that pretty much nobody finds Janet Jackson that appealing, but still...
Seriously though, We've got plenty of feedback on that matter, lets just move on to someone else's slip ups.
I moved to Homestead, Florida in June of 1992.
Hurricane Andrew struck Homestead in August of 1992.
Whoops.
Actually, just once more on the subject, I was once reading a Mad magazine and I saw something hilarious, they showed a picture of Richard Hatch walking around on Survivor in the buff, and there was a caption that said
QuoteJanet Jackson's wardrobe malfunction was a national tragedy but this is okay?
As for Raffine, that is really messed up.
