Title: More David Cronenburg Flicks!!!
Post by: Private Joker on March 09, 2002, 03:02:37 PM
His movies are usually weird, not bad, but weird enough to be on this site anyway (like Delicatessen; not bad, just weird).  The only one I see is Naked Lunch on the reader reviews, and The Fly (old version, not the new Cronenburg Version).  What about Videodrome and The Brood and Re-Animator (not sure if Re-Animator is Cronenburg, but should be on here)?  Anyone agree?

If you want to see a great Cronenburg film check out SHIVERS. This is one of my favorite films from the 70's. You won't be disappointed.

I thought Rabid was pretty good, along with Dead Ringers and Scanners.

I remember at the end of Rabid the girl was thrown into the rubbish truck, like she was nothing.  Also, the sad,sad ending of Dead Ringers.

Cronenberg is my favorite director, hands down (and no, Joker, he did not do Re-Animator, that was Stuart Gordon).

Check out everything:
Shivers (aka They Came From Within)
Rabid
The Brood
Scanners
Videodrome
The Fly
The Dead Zone
Dead Ringers
M Butterfly
Naked Lunch
eXistenZ

He also did a race car movie in Canada in the 70s, but I can't remember the name....
