Pretty awesome list and there's something here to appeal to everyone IMO.
Particularly glad to see that Judas Priest's "Painkiller" made the cut! :teddyr:
Dear lord, Peace Sells and Battery. Two tracks (among others on the list) that I've been hoping they'd add. I finally just got around to buying the first one for PS2. It went down to a hundred bucks so I was sold. I'm getting pretty decent at drumming playing on hard level. Expert is way too much for me at this point. I have to say that Rock Band has the better variety song wise. Good to see some 80s cheese on there too. Thanx for posting Torgo
I hope that Rush's "The Trees" is the original version by Rush and not some terrible cover version like has happened on Guitar Hero like with Tom Sawyer.
Guitar Hero is branching off into the band format with World Tour. I heard they'll have a create a song mode which I'm somewhat interested in.
Luckily they're still releasing these things for PS2. We're getting the Rock Band Track Pack Vol. 1 for the system. Granted it only has around 20 songs buts its affordable at 30 bucks.
I too just still have a PS2 (along with a Dreamcast and Genesis) and I just don't have the money to shell out on a PS3 because I don't have a HDTV and what's the point of getting a blu-ray player of any sort if I don't have a HDTV set up?
I don't care if they have to really scale back the graphics, but if they keep coming out with PS2 ports of certain games (like the Lego Indiana Jones one) that'll keep me more than happy with what I have.
I might get a next-gen system with next year's tax return.
