If you ever want a reealy obscure b-movie that youve never heard of and dont feel like waiting for your netflix to get to you, go visit a local used video game or music store. They usually have a PLETHERA of (the good kind of) crappy movies for real cheap on VHS, DVD, and sometimes even BETA tapes and Laserdiscs! Thats what I did yesterday. I went to my local CD Reunion store and for me some good stuff. A "BLACK CEASAR" and "ULTRA MAN" v.h.s. were there along with a dvd copy of CHEERLEADER CAMP.
C.C. is in one of my favorite sub-genres of b-movies: 80s slasher. Its overall good. Lots of bad acting, a crazy girl who has weird dreams and halusinations, boobs, and some decent gore. Unfortunatley, the gore doesnt really come in until about 50 minuetes into the film. Still good though. I'd watch it again. What 80s slasher to watch next..... maybe "dont go into the woods".
Worst of all....it stars Leif Garrett! YIKES!!! I'm glad to know I'm not alone in veiwing (and actually admiting to) this hunk of tripe! Had a hard time sitting through this....and it featured George "Busk" Flower! Talk about obscure and lousy!

UGH!!!! THAT LOUSY RAP SONG! "I hope you all die!" Buck sez....I hoped I would die....!
I thought the comedy stuff really ruined what could have been an awesome slasher. That fat guy, practically starring in his own Porky's sub-movie, Leif Garret sticking a sock in his undies - NOT what I want to see in a slasher! Real disappointment overall, but man, those babes were hot...and numerous!
Oh man, are you guys for real? Cheerleader Camp (aka Bloody Pom Poms UK) is awesome! And that rap song they sing is hilarious, IMO. I love when the fat dude dresses up as a fat chick to try and spy on the girls as they tan topless. And I thought the film had a pretty good production value for being shot on such a small budget and tight schedule (see: audio commentary) and was a thoroughly enjoyable flick. I suggest everyone check it out. Even my girlfriend, whom I normally torture with my cinema, said "actually, it wasn't so bad." I suggest everyone check it out.
