Tensions boil between Obama-Clinton camps
DENVER — As Democrats arrived here Sunday for a convention intended to promote party unity, mistrust and resentments continued to boil among top associates of presumptive nominee Barack Obama and his defeated rival, Hillary Rodham Clinton.

One flashpoint is the assigned speech topic for former president Bill Clinton, who is scheduled to speak Wednesday night, when the convention theme is "Securing America's Future." The night's speakers will argue that Obama would be a more effective commander in chief than his Republican rival, Sen. John McCain (Ariz.).

The former president is disappointed, associates said, because he is eager to speak about the economy and more broadly about Democratic ideas — emphasizing the contrast between the Bush years and his own record in the 1990s...

Those nasty little twits wouldn't have the freedom to yell their obscenities if our soldiers, sailors, and Marines weren't out there protecting them.  They want to make us the bad guy, but they wouldn't enjoy that kind of freedom in Castro's Cuba, Saddam's Iraq, or Kim Jong's North Korea . . . not even in our friendly Olympic host country, Red China.  They can't even frame a coherent statement of what it is they're protesting.  Idiots.

Good, their own greed for power will undermine and destroy their mythical unity.

"Mythical Unity"?  Did I see a flash of Achilles' heel?    :bouncegiggle:  :bouncegiggle:    :bluesad: ...  :bouncegiggle:  :twirl:

Did you watch Billary's speech tonight at the DNC? There is no unity, which is fine by me. And that bit about Uncle Teddy  (I do wish him well in his illness btw) in 1980 blabbering about health care for the masses last night ... well it's been 28 years since he said that and what have they done? Nothing, it's all election year rhetoric, so not my Achilles heel, but I do see it as the DNC's AcHillary's heel. Obama dissed her, and she is so vindictive she will not soon forget, nor will Billy Boy. Oh and Hillary dissed Michelle ma bell, with her endless statement of how PROUD she was of this and that ... you could see it Michelle's face, she got it and wasn't impressed. The only thing the DNC is unified in is their mutual dislike of one another.

I would like to take this moment to thank Senator nObama for picking mouthy Joe Biden as his running mate, this election is going to be a hoot. Biden is gaff central.
