There is a movie I have no idea who is it in or when it was made but it is a guy who is trying to escape from a high security prison. Everyday the prisoners have to scan there fingerprints to make sure they are in their rooms. When the guy is planning to escape he cuts off his fingerprint and sets up a contraption that can get his fingerprint to be scanned at the right time. This is all I know from the movie. Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks

Possibly Fortress starring Christopher Lambert,
But it's been a long time since I've watched it
so I'm not sure

I'm with Stevil. "Fortress" was the first film to pop into my mind as well.

If the prison was an island, then it was Double Team with Van Damme Micky Rourke and Dennis Rodman....
