Nice work. It's better than the original theatrical cut, but I think you could still clip out another 15 minutes or so.
And, it seems that you cut out the best part! The film's only action sequence, where the nightgown-clad wives battle in the dirt! Still
Lol! You're a YouTube pooper!
Anyhow, I honestly like Manos a whole lot better than a bunch of films, it's not the worst movie ever, maybe in the bottom 15 or 20 technically, choreographically, and acting-wise, but it had a murky, dreamlike feeling (Plus, ...That ending :buggedout:) with some potential for a creepy late-nighter. What could they do with their budget and lack of experience?
I give you big thanks on making this somewhat-straighter recut! The B&W could have been more consistant, and the cuts could have been smoother, but I like it!
Oh, and why does your link go to the Dutch youtube? Are you Dutch?

yeah the b and w was for like outside of the house like the house is a dream like
and what else do you think i could cut out? i might make another?
@Ulthar: Yes, a Manos remake should be made, maybe made with old, old film or shot on video, with better actors and a more fleshed-out script. They should also give the crew the same budget as the original one had (Inflation adjusted), to see if they could utilize it better, and to make sure nothing looks too "Hollywood".
-------------------------
@Master: You could make your cuts smoother by overlaying non-dialogue bits on some of the more awkwardly-cut dialogue bits (some of the stuff in Torgo's intro, for example, could be overlayed with Michael and Margaret looking at him), or overlay it with stuff where the sound could be muted.
You could also make the cuts to the dialogue more precise, it sometimes seems like it cuts off before the end of a sentence. That may very well be an error on the original filmmakers' part, but if that's the case you should still try to work around less important, mebbe worse-acted spots.
The ending could be better edited, I know the original car sequence went on forever and had irritating dialogue, but it looks abrupt in your re-edit. Maybe you can find some more grainy old music and mute the old jabbering? A 3rd part should be made so you can have a better time limit.
Apologies if it sounds like I'm taking this way too seriously, but I am a wannabe filmmaker myself. Plus, when I hear of a fellow Manos-appreciater, I get enthusiastic! :hot:
what other movies should i reedit?
There was some guy about ten years ago that was trying to secure financing for a remake. He had a site up for it but I don't think it's still up.
i think a sequel is needed its just begging for one
