Title: 1990 movie dude gettin beat to death w/hammer

Two dudes on the run- end up beating a dude to death with a hammer. Pretty brutal. Maybe a character that was a preacher. One character has a hard time gettin the other dude to shut up/join in/ keep his mouth shut.

Could it be the Texas Chainsaw Massacare movie.  I think that it is number two?

Leatherface's brother was beating a guy to death with a hammer.

It could be the David A. Prior film "Sledgehammer", some jocks guys do a seance and release the spirit of a killer who smashes their heads in with....a sledgehammer.
