All I can remember is it was set in a futuristic type alternate world had some mad max style vehicles, and the hero had to survive some sort of game/maze. I keep wanting to call it wastelands or something similar?

And it's set on a futuristic world with Mad Max type vehicles.

That description is pretty vague. There are tons of post apocalyptic thrillers out there. Do you remember anything else? Was it a low budget film or a Blockbuster? Was the main character a man or a woman?  Anything will help
