I like bagels.
My favorites are deli made...onion or the everything bagel (garlic, onion, poppy seeds...etc...)
I don't eat the fruit ones (blueberry) or sweet (cinnamon).
I like cream cheese on them the most. But I also like peanut butter, colby, chedder,or American cheese too...
Do you like bagels...? whats your favorite?

I like a blueberry bagel every now and then, a little margarine on 'em, yummy.
I used to, I'm sick of them now, as I used to have to make 'em and bake 'em.

What's the middle one? Looks like a turd...
Every morning I have a plain bagel with Smart Balance with Omega spread. I switched from cream cheese due to my cholesterol problem. My main favorite is spinach bagels which are awesome. The local grocery store sells garlic bagels which are good if you can keep the garlic on them. I also delve into onion, multigrain and everything bagels.
Margarine...??? People still eat that poison?
I think the middle bagel is pumpernickel.
I like tuna fish on an everything bagel, also cream cheese, ham and cheese, plain bagels with taylor ham... I do like cinnamon bagels with butter or cream cheese. Mmm... getting hungry.

Evidently, I just eat what's in the fridge; plus it comes in a gigantic, handy tub.

My grandmother fought the nazis with huge slabs of margarine....clogs the arteries right up! :bouncegiggle:

They're a hard find but you'd more than likely locate them in the supermarket sold one a piece rather than the ones in the bag.
I love having a bacon egg and cheese on a bagel. It beats biscuits and croissants. For a low fat healthy option I use egg whites and turkey bacon.
Lenders used to make EGG bagels, , they were yellow,, , Texas Toast kinds reminds me of them in color only, not taste. I used to LOVE them but I've not seen them in a long time. I have made Eggs Benebict with them in place of English Muffins, pretty good IMO. I also love making bagel pizza, , and I have made egg/cheese/ham breakfast sandwiches with them. For those, you just have to nuke them a little to make them soft, else biting into one just squishes out the innards of the sandwich.
Bageldogs kick @$$ though. .

Switch to Smart Balance, it's better tasting, spreads great, and comprised of Omega Fatty Acids...whatchamacallit? It's FAT that's GOOD for you. Margarine is POISON.

I'll keep my eye out for that.

Oh yeah. Freshly baked garlic bagel, toasted with butter... moannn....
Most real bagel places have them. The supermarkets, possibly not.
I'd be hard pressed to choose between the above-mentioned bagel-and-butter, and my other two favorites, whitefish salad:

and the very traditional lox, cream cheese, tomato and onion

Indeed, heed his words Patient 7. You'll thank yourself for doing so when you get past 30. Smart Balance rocks. It tastes like butter but its good for you...in moderation of course.
Blueberry bagles are my absolute favorite, topped with a generous amount of cream cheese of course.
I, too, love the bacon, egg and cheese on a plain bagel combo. I also like the blueberry bagel with butter. On occasion, I like a turkey sandwich made with a bagel instead of regular bread also. Or a roast beef & cheddar on a bagel. Aaargh! Now I'm hungry!
I haven't tried the onion or garlic or everything bagels, mostly because my wife wouldn't eat them, and she likes the occasional bagel as well.
I live in Sweden, and here bagels are against the law :tongueout:
it must be anyway, because I have never seen a bagel here in Sweden, and I'm not sure that they would be my favorite bread (I'm more of a sourdough guy :teddyr: )

Well, there's a lot of great bread in Europe (though I don't know about Sweden specifically). Much as I love bagels, I don't miss them in Europe. I think my favorite breads are those german ones full of nuts and sunflower seeds that weigh about a ton. There's plenty of great crusty bread to gnaw on at breakfast, who needs bagels?
I enjoy bagels just about any time, day or night, this has given me an idea for our evening meal.
