Well, I got my first DVD screener in the mail the other day. Either I have been mistaken for a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, or they sent out about 8 million copies of these to random names they pulled out of the phone book.
The movie is called OBSESSION: RADICAL ISLAM'S WAR AGAINST THE WEST (2005). It's actually a "special 1 hour version", though it doesn't say how long the complete version is. It's a very serious and balanced documentary, full of scenes of chanting jihadists and scary clips from Jordanian soap operas with Jews murdering children so they can make matza balls. Although most of the "revelations" about radical terrorists it contains are familiar to the film's particularly good at drawing parallels between Nazism and current Isalmofascism, and showing the historical roots of the Arab world's fascination with fascism.
It actually hits this point too hard, though, reminding us of Neville Chamberlain and the deal that gave Hitler the Sudetenland. But I don't recall anyone apeasing Osama Bin Laden or offering him part of Czechoslovakia. Maybe the filmmakers are trying to draw a connection to a Palestinian state, but I think it's a bit farfetched. The enemy they portray here here is not a nation-state like Nazi Germany--we would know how to deal with that problem--but an international religious cult that exists everywhere and has no territory.
The film is adamant that we need to take the threat seriously, but suggests no real solution for dealing with these problems, except that moderate Muslims must speak out more forcefully against the radicals. But I'm not a moderate Muslim; why mail it to me?
Did anyone else get this in the mail?

So you a radical Muslim then?
I didn't get one, but I did read something about, somewhere.
