Title: I.E. 7.0 problem (maybe temporary?)
Post by: Rev. Powell on October 09, 2008, 03:20:21 PM
This may be just a transient problem, but I've never seen it before on any site so I thought I'd report it.

Immediately after making a post, a box popped up saying "Internet Explorer can't load this website: operation aborted."  The page could not be reloaded and I could not go back to the home page, or try to open the site in a new tab, without getting the same pop-up.  I had several other sites open in tabs at the time badmovies crashed and they had no problems.

I loaded the site up in Firefox with no problems.

I'll try again later with IE and report back if the problem persists.  For now I'll just use Firefox for a while.

As I suspected, the problem went away on it's own.  Weird, though, as I never recall experiencing that particular error message with any website.  I'll post again if the issue recurs.

That's a strange error.  I try not to run any weird scripts on the site.  Besides the ads, which are served in iframes, there are just the translate script and Google analytics.  I haven't encountered that with IE, though I mostly read the site via Firefox.  I'll use IE for a while to see if the same error happens to me.

Just to add a small point.

IE has a lot of issues including random crashing, its best to use something like firefox.
