Title: (re)Writing The Puppet Masters
Post by: BTM on October 14, 2008, 03:59:20 PM

Hey guys, a thread on a "What was this movie" made me do some research on the film The Puppet Masters (the one with Donald Sutherland) and I find this pretty interesting article written by one of the guy who wrote the original script for the film.  It's a pretty fascinating look into the often bizarre process Hollywood often goes through in adapting a novel (or, I suppose writing any type of film.)

Fascinating quote about a female character in the movie: "She doesn't have to be connected to the plot," a female executive on the project told us, "in this type of film, the woman is just the hero's girlfriend."

"It's like raaaaaaayyyn on your wedding day...."
