Happy Halloween to all!
Just FYI: I have a store bought (1981 era) VHS of John Carpenter's film ~ while the tape is still 100% OK, the sleeve is so thick, you could use it as a bullet-proof vest. :teddyr:
Happy Halloween everybody! :teddyr:

Here's a cool page with lots of bizarre vintage Halloween cards and some explanations of the traditions behind them: http://retrocrush.buzznet.com/archive2004/vintagehalloweencards/categories/

This one is subtitled "The Horror of Pumpkin Cannibalism."
To everyone on this most festive of days, a big, fat, happy
BOO!
Right then, I'm off to brutally murder and eat some children. It be 6pm here, I shall catch up with y'all tomorrow!

Have a good night! :teddyr:
We went to haunted houses this year, and one of them was Clown themed! It was the scariest one.
Karma to you Rev, I love these.

Watched this movie everyday when I was 3, HAPPY HALLOWEEN
I just got in after trick or treating with my son. He did rather well and got quite a load of candy.

"Kilter"...there's a word that hasn't been used as a verb since about 1943 ,lol
Tonight was a letdown. Ended up not going to the party at the "real" haunted house, changed plans too late to land on my feet and find something else to do, missed a chance to either give out candy with a friend who goes all out with decorations and draws hundreds to come there and see them, or go with my cousin and her five kids trick or treating, or be at another party. Wound up not doing much of anything. Sigh. And I love Halloween, too.
I guess this is karmic retribution for all the ants I've accidentally stepped on over the years. Or maybe for that whole triple homicide thing. Probably the ants.
Didn't do anything in the end either, I lost the mask I was going to wear and then my gilrfriend wasn't interested in watching any films like we'd planned. I was a bit drunk already when she asked if we could go into town, but that was like 11pm then and I didn't have enough money....so she went out with another guy :bluesad:
I stayed in watched some films, put some music on and finished a 4-pack of Wychwood's "Hobgoblin" dark ale

Been so busy with my new job (=blech=) that I neglected to post here. I had a very large collection of vintage Halloween cards, sold most (but kept about 60 or so of the very best). I also had a large Santa collection. Here's one of each:
