Is that hole in the hat? :bouncegiggle:
Since I was so inspired by that photo () I have added it to my portal (http://5g8.net) for the duration of the auction; of course, with a link to the auction. :teddyr:
Bumping this back to the top after that damn spammer, litcool, knocked it down.
Thanks Menard!!! I now have my first bid . . . exactly $1!!
Seriously, I am hoping two nutjobs with more money than sense will get into a bidding war over the thing . . . my daughter's migraines cost us $1000 last week alone!
If only I had an e-Bay account. :bluesad:
Well for those of you looking for that one unique gift for that certain someone...
I'll only bid on it if it comes with guaranteed sunshine!
Do you think it would make a good Christmas present for my wife? She's really into clothes and stuff.
Sorry, Indy, I'm saving my money for Trevor's underpants auction.
I don't do hats, they mess up my hair....yeah, it's all about the hair....
Lets see the bidding has soared to $7.40 ... where will you spend it all?
Hey Indy,
Since I have been doing the captions with that one photo, I have updated the link to your auction on my portal. I am now using the captioned photos for a thought of the day. :teddyr:
Hope you enjoy the celebrity.
*If it bugs you, just let me know and I'll remove the pic and leave a text link to the auction.
I am basking in the notoriety, my friend!!
Plus, I think you are helping my sale chances!
All the way up to $10.50 now! :bouncegiggle:
The auction isn't there as of 9:49 EST!!! Has it ended or was it pulled? :buggedout:

I discovered about an hour earlier that the auction had ended. I don't know if eBay pulled it or Indy ended it, though. That was right after I had put Indy's thought of the day on my portal.
I got an Email telling me the item was "significantly misrepresented," and had been yanked. I have no idea WTH they mean by that. I've got three Emails out to them; if there's a way to legally relist the hat, I will do so and will post the link in this thread.
Would you like me to point the thought of the day link to a different site for the time being?
For the time being, I have just your thought of the day (updated a little :teddyr:) without a link to the auction.

That's nuts! I wonder if some total idiot thought you were promising to sell them Indiana
Jones' hat. There's still no misrepresentation if they read the listing.

What comes to mind as a possibility, though "significantly misrepresented" is a poor choice of words, is that the number of artifact finds claimed that the hat has been on is not provable.
Another possibility could be that someone feels that the suggestion of Indiana Smith's Fedora is misleading due to some dolts mistaking it for Indiana Jones.
There is the possibility that someone who bid on it wanted to retract their bid, but claimed misrepresentation to get out of it.
No telling, though, as this is eBay and they seem to have an ever escalating history of doing dumb things.
OK, the misunderstanding is cleared up, and the hat will be back on EBay tomorrow!!! :teddyr:  :bouncegiggle:
