This is terrible news. :bluesad: Our thoughts are certainly with Uncle Forry.

they should burn a dvd of it unrestored and show it to him b4 he dies... i hope he dosn't but the odds are not high my thoughts are with him :bluesad:
I was hoping to get to the Ackermansion some day... :bluesad: I have a friend who got to go, met Forry, and got a personal tour. Apparently Mr. Ackerman is as gracious as he is obsessed with all things fantastical. In my thoughts everyday, 4SJ.
Apparently Ackerman is doing a bit better, but still seriously ill.
Some of his friends/fans in the film industry have actually contacted Kino and are working on getting him a special viewing of the restored METROPOLIS!
FJA is one of the first heros I ever had. FAMOUS MONSTERS kept me sane as a kid.
He changed the world for so many of us.
I know your an atheist, Uncle Forry, but God Bless you.
This is bad... I can't really confirm for sure, but from another forum, a trusted source (Someone actually in the industry) told me he had actually died http://dustinmcneill.proboards50.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=958&page=1 (http://dustinmcneill.proboards50.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=958&page=1) :bluesad:
