I'm no fan of daylight savings time and know it's not universally observed, but is there a reason the clock hasn't been set back an hour on this site? No biggie. Just curious.
I don't know why. I kinda like that fact that I am now only 4 hours ahead of everyone instead of 5.
That's because this site uses the TDX-3000 Time Machine. It was supposed to be a huge leap forward from the 2000 model, but it had a flaw: it could only go one hour into the future. Only a few were built and they are quite rare. The subsequent 4000 model did everything the 3000 was supposed to do, plus it has cupholders and an MP3 player docking station. But they are on the pricey side.
I recently read somewhere that daylight savings time was responsible for global warming. The belief is the the earth can't take the extra hour of daylight in the summer and it's warming the entire planet up. I can't quite put my finger on it, , but I think there's a hole or two in the theory. :tongueout:

We have four of those fancy 'Atomic Clocks' at work that supposedly have the perfect time beamed to them by a giant satellite in OUTER SPACE. The problem is Daylight Savings Time drives 'em crazy and there is absolutely no way to set them manually.
Right now one has reset itself correctly, one is still one hour ahead, and the the other two completely spazzed out: one is frozen at 4:00 and the other at 8:00.
I love technology!
We are all slaves to time...

Man, asking that question was like stepping off into some large black interdimensional void. Ha! :teddyr:

This should be fixed now. SMF (the forum) is a bit sensitive about Daylight Savings Time. Every year this issue gets opened as a modification or bug on the SMF forums.
I made some changes that might keep this from happening again. You might need to reset your profile's time offset by going to: profile - look and layout - auto detect time offset.
Well its about "time" Andrew...nevermind, bad joke. :bluesad:

If it is true that time is money, then in my world, the Hindus are certainly also right: It doesn't exist :twirl:.
Side note: I hope this doesn't alarm anyone, but the puns may never end!
Is this my payback for the end of the "Please Don't Eat My Mother" review? Folks, some of these are really, really bad. So bad that nobody should read them first thing in the morning.
