After last week's My Name Is Bruce viewing, I now find myself just a few days away from the New York City Horror Film Festival. Saturday night will be a 10pm showing of Frank "Basket Case" Hennenlotter's new one Bad Biology, with Sunday afternoon showing Bonnie & Clyde Vs. Dracula, starring Tiffany Shepis and Trent Haaga. Unfortunately, each showing includes several horror short films, thus excusing the Festival's organizers to charge $16 per ticket... :buggedout:
Given the pulminary difficulties my wallet's going through as of late, I don't think I'll be taking in B&CvD like I'd hoped. I'd be happier about Bad Biology if Hennenlotter made an appearance like Campbell did with My Name If Bruce... which actually cost $4 less. Oh well, either way I'll still probably be watching it alongside my fiancee come Saturday night with a 1lb bag of smuggled in peanut butter M&Ms between us. :teddyr:
Has anybody else here been looking forward to Bad Biology? Or Bonnie & Clyde Vs. Dracula for that matter?
I'm eagerly anticipating both. I love Frank Henelotter, and B.C. Vs. D. just looks flat-out groovy. I'm kind of nervous about B.B. though, to be honest. I'm hoping it ends up just as good as the Henelotter movies I cherish, but I'm a little wary because there's a chance it might end up being a let-down, or even a full-blown stinkfest.
I've been waiting for Henenlotter's return to action for quite some time now. In fact one of my first posts on this site, over a year ago, was an announcement about BB--then the release kept getting pushed back, and I forgot about it.
Like WW above, I'm wary and prepared to be disappointed, however.
This is the first I've heard of B&CvD, but I'm not too excited about it. The title sounds like it's trying to be deliberately campy, which almost never works out well.
Ha! The title of this thread made me think it was one of those "Why this movie is not feasible or logical" threads ol' whatisname used to post!
:bouncegiggle:
I've read one review per movie and both were positive, but they were on imdb so there's no telling if they were posted by friends of the production or not. Given Hennenlotter's past movies I'm holding out hope that BB will be at least good if not great. I'd like to say that the ticket prices won't make me biased, but for $16, even mediocre won't cut it.
On B&CvD, my bank account is telling me more and more that I'm better off staying home and watching something off of my hard drive and putting the $32 toward some groceries.
WOW!! "Bonnie & Clyde vs. Dracula"???? I must have missed something. When was this film announced...it's news to me. Sounds fun though.

I first heard about it when Tiffany Shepis posted pics from the production on her MySpace page. Here's the imdb page for more info (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1117379/).
