A Kid Controls a Small Robot but it goes haywire and tries attacking people he brings it to school and it attacks someone in the locker room i think.. vaguely remember it a late night early morning movie on hbo i wanna say

weird the robot disobeys the kid and goes into attack mode weird such a long time ago i was really young so not sure
