Iconic 50's pin-up model Bettie Page has passed away at the age of 85.

She had a very turbulent life," Todd Mueller, a family friend and autograph seller, told The Associated Press on Thursday. "She had a temper to her."

this is terrible; it seems as though she went easy... I had no idea she worked for billy graham. Her childhood home is three doors down from my friend stephen; sad there isn't even a plaque there.

It's amazing...her modeling carrer lasted a mere 7 years...and yet she's an icon of American culture. The stuff legends are made of...RIP,Bettie.

I never thought Bettie was all THAT gorgeous... though of course she's easy on the eyes. Her magic was more in her attitude, her smile, and the way she made sexual deviance seem wholesome and all-American! She always seemed to be enjoying herself; even if she was gagged and hogtied, she always looked like the one in control. R.I.P.

I think she had a close relationship with IRVING KLAW and his sister PAULA KLAW. IRVING died decades ago, but the KLAW family still operates Movie Star News in Manhattan from which prints from original negatives may still be purchased (I never bought any, but did use to receive their catalog.)
