Wow, Kianu's movie hasn't even hit the theaters yet and there's already a cheap, direct-to-video ripoff on the shelves!!
Actually, if you go in with low expectations and an eye for gaping plotholes, cheesy special effects, and bloopers, this one is pretty fun. Oh, and one of the aliens is a hot nekkid chick. Add that up with some of the lamest dialogue ever and lousy acting ability, and you're left with a silly way to kill an hour and a half without losing too many brain cells in the process.
Anybody else seen this one?
I haven't seen it, but I did note that it was directed by none other than C. Thomas Howell.

The dude from the original The Hitcher?! :buggedout:
I'm definitely picking up a copy of this after Christmas.

He seems to specialize in ripoff versions of popular movies. He was in that other other WAR OF THE WORLDS in 2005 (not the Hines version) and was in something called THE DA VINCI TREASURE.
It's good to see he's moved up from starring in lousy, cheap sci-fi films like MUTANT VAMPIRE ZOMBIES FROM THE 'HOOD to making them.
Onward and upward, C.!
Nice to see the star of Soul Man is still around.
I suppose what happens in this video clip could be a metaphor for Howell's career. :tongueout:
(yes, For those of you who didn't know. That really is C. Thomas Howell yelling and shooting at the helicopter)
