A guy in New Bedford, Massachusetts thought it would be a good idea to remove some snow and ice from his back porch - with a blow torch (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/28366005). Instead he started his house on fire and caused about $30,000 in damages.
Gee. What an idiot.
Sometimes no snide comment is enough.
New Bedford is actually a half hour from me and we probably got around the same amount of snow and ice. I used conventional methods like a shovel.
Fire & Ice don't mix nice :tongueout:

And if the ice is too solid to remove with a shovel, they have this great stuff now called "salt."
